Professional Statement

My research focuses on understanding the role of steroid receptor coactivators (SRCs), particularly SRC-3, in regulatory T cell (Treg) and Th17 cell biology and function, with an emphasis on the translational implications of modulating SRC-3 activity in these T-cell populations for cancer and autoimmune diseases. My work integrates CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, molecular and cellular immunology, and preclinical disease models to define the roles of SRCs in T-cell function and explore their potential as therapeutic targets.
A second line of my research focuses on drug combination strategies aimed at improving therapeutic outcomes in cancer, with particular interest in how small-molecule drug combinations modulate tumor immunology and the tumor–immune microenvironment.
More broadly, I am interested in bridging basic immunology and translational research to develop new therapeutic approaches for cancer immunotherapy, engineered T-cell therapies, and immune-mediated diseases.
