Heather Cole, MSN, AGACNP-BC, CCRN, is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in thoracic surgery at ºÚÁÏÉçÇø. She brings ten years of experience, including more than six years in critical care, with a background in trauma surgical, transplant, and medical intensive care. Heather earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and completed her acute care NP clinical training at Houston Methodist Hospital, Ben Taub Hospital, and UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Her clinical interests include the comprehensive perioperative management of patients undergoing complex thoracic and foregut procedures, particularly hiatal hernia, esophageal, gastroesophageal, pulmonary resection, and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries. She is passionate about multidisciplinary collaboration, procedural advancement, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and optimizing surgical outcomes through individualized, patient centered care.
